X, formerly known as Twitter, has been a source of quick information regarding the Israel-Palestine war over the past few days. Live and on-the-ground updates are quickly posted and consumed through the platform from different media outlets. Clips of the international coverage of Gaza, as well as interviews from both sides, can also be seen on X.
The plethora of tweets under the hashtag #IsraelPalestineWar led it to trend worldwide for days. X’s new technology that addresses misinformation appeared in some tweets. As of writing, the social media site has not employed any material censorship for or against any of the warring states.
