Uncovering the Comcast hack: What you should know about data security

A data breach at Xfinity has given hackers access to the personal information of nearly all of the company’s customers. Comcast had sent out a notice to customers early last Monday to notify customers of unauthorized access to their internal systems. The information acquired during the data breach included names, contact information, last four digits of the Social Security, and dates of birth. The hack has affected over 35.8 million people and underscored the need for robust cybersecurity protocols, regular system audits, and an increased awareness of data protection strategies among users.
